I am happy to announce that the new design for the chapter shirts is ready to be stitched. A huge thank you goes out to Kelli H. Richard of Kelli's Kreations in Mire for her perseverance in getting the design from paper to stitch.
This is a picture of the sample shirt.
You provide the shirt, the chapter will have it stitched. This will allow you to obtain the style and color of shirt you prefer. The only restriction is that there cannot be anything on the left side where the logo will be stitched. Buddy and I have done a little legwork on polos and have found that JC Penneys and Walmart seem to have the best selection of colors for men. Sears has the best selection I have found for women. Walmart has white, pastel pink, powder blue and navy in the women's department. I have heard that Old Navy and the junior department at JCP have a good selection for women, but I have not personally checked it out. Academy and Target had none in the women's department. The plain polos range in price from $8 to $13. You may prefer another style of shirt. You could even have the design stitched on your old chapter button shirt if you prefer since they are plain on the front.
You can bring your shirt to me at my office at 118 Demanade Boulevard in the Oil Center or to the chapter meeting on April 3rd. Please have your shirt in a bag with your name on the bag. People that have signed up to work the booth for Festival des Fleurs will take stitching priority. We hope to have everyone in a new chapter shirt by our show on May 20th.
